Like many in our industry, TONG has spent much of the past two years reflecting and adapting to changing times. The upheaval for many in our industry has spurred us to rethink our processes and partnerships as a business operating across creativity, technology, arts and culture.

As a team of experts bringing insights, inspiration and ideas from around the world, we understand the challenges currently facing many at the beginning of their career. Taking inspiration from the Year of the Ox, a symbol for determination, positivity and transparency, TONG launched ‘Spring Creators 创造·春’, an annual grant dedicated to supporting young Chinese talents around the world in their personal projects across music, fashion design, art, digital animation and more.

In February 2021, we announced the project within our network, inviting young artists to present their portfolios and ideas with us. Out of the many who applied, five were selected: Patrick Wu, Helen Cheng, Raw 2.2, Yumeng Zhu and Zi Cheng Wang. Their work, supported by the grant, has inspired commercial briefs throughout the year.

Finally, we are able to unveil their work spanning multiple disciplines and unexpected outcomes. This digital experience exhibits each of the creator’s final pieces and the story behind it all.
